Our owner and head chef, award winning Chef Gail Brockway has created a menu that provides authentic Mexican food to Key West, FL locals and the many visitors who flood Key West every year. Chef Gail has been a prominent Key West, FL chef since 1973 and over four decades has launched five successful restaurants in a whole range of cuisine styles. While on sabbatical in Santa Fe, New Mexico, she fell in love with the complexity and variety of authentic Mexican and New Southwest cuisines. Chef Gail brought her New Mexican experience back to Key West, FL and to you in 2000.
Since opening Old Town Mexican Cafe in 2000, Gail’s New Southwest dishes have garnered numerous awards including Chef of the Year 2003, Key West Restaurant Association, Best Entree 2008, Key West Master Chefs Classic, and a People’s Choice Award 2009, Key West Master Chefs Classic.
